Brisbane City Massage is committed to providing quality professional massage therapy services throughout the Brisbane CBD. Brisbane City Massage therapists are experienced in a wide range of massage therapy techniques including remedial, sports and deep tissue massage techniques that are ideal for treating many musculoskeletal conditions and also for a general relaxation experience.
In addition to offering traditional European massage techniques, we also offer Asian based massage techniques including Shiatsu acupressure massage, Reflexology and Cupping.
Brisbane City Massage has 3 locations servicing the Brisbane CBD on Albert Street, Queen Street and Market Street. Being an inner city based service; Brisbane City Massage has extensive experience in the treatment of office related muscle strains and tension headaches. Many office jobs require repetitive movements day after day and this often leads to repetitive muscle strains and headaches. Brisbane City Massage believes in the regular treatment of these repetitive muscle strains in order to avoid acute muscle tightness, and our therapists provide long-term management and prevention programs to keep you fit and well into the future. We believe that prevention of muscle tightness is of paramount importance to maintaining a fit body.
Regular massage can not only reduce muscle tightness, but the mobilisation of joints through massage also reduces joint stiffness and promotes joint mobility. Furthermore, by promoting blood flow and improved circulation through the body, massage helps in the repair of damaged or sore muscles. For deep muscle tightness and joint stiffness, our therapists also offer trigger pointing techniques, often used in conjunction with deep tissue massage. Deep tissue massage promotes increased blood and oxygen circulation in the targeted area which helps to relax the muscle and take the muscle out of spasm.
Brisbane City Massage therapists are also very experienced in providing sports massage with varying techniques dependant upon whether the massage is undertaken either before, during or after the sporting activity. Sports massage aims to reduce fatigue and prepare you for peak performance during sport by warming up and stretching the muscle and thereby reducing the build up of lactic acid. Sports massage also aims to promote flexibility and thereby prevent sporting injuries.
In addition to providing effective treatment for muscle tightness and joint stiffness, massage also has significant relaxation benefits. The process of massage has also been found to reduce stress and anxiety levels and to leave the body feeling both relaxed and refreshed.
Brisbane City Massage therapists use the most up to date massage techniques and work alongside trained exercise scientists and physiotherapists within the clinic. Our therapists also attend regular professional development courses to stay a head of the field and to provide you with the latest treatment techniques and advice. Regular professional development ensures our clients receive the best possible massage experience and access to complimentary rehabilitation services, should they be required.
